Our Process

Eight unhurried steps, from inquiry to installed.

The pace is deliberate. The intent is for every project to feel calm to live through, with the right conversations happening in the right order, and nothing being rushed at the cost of the finished work.

01

Inquiry

A short conversation, typically over email or phone, about the space, the scope you are imagining, the timing, and a comfortable budget range. If the project is a fit for the studio, we move forward to a consultation.

02

Consultation

A longer conversation, often at our table or yours, to talk through how the room is used, what is working, what is not, and the kind of feel and material direction you have in mind.

03

Site Review

For work that lives in a specific spot, an in-home visit for measurements and context. For freestanding pieces, the same care goes into understanding the room it is headed for and how it will be used day to day.

04

Design Direction

Drawings, material samples, and hardware specification. The goal is for the work to feel resolved on paper before a single board is cut, so the conversation can be about the work, not about surprises.

05

Estimate & Scheduling

A detailed proposal with line-item scope, materials, finishes, and timing. Once countersigned, the project enters the shop calendar and the deposit secures its place.

06

Fabrication

Milling, joinery, assembly, and finishing in the studio. Photographs along the way for projects where the client wants to follow the build. Finish samples reviewed before final finishing.

07

Delivery & Installation

Freestanding pieces are delivered and placed; built-in and residential work is installed on site, with hardware set and adjusted. Everything is coordinated quietly so the work never disrupts the rest of the home.

08

Final Walkthrough

A walk through the finished work together: care, finish maintenance, and a written care guide for the piece. The studio follows up at the one-year mark to make any seasonal adjustments.

The studio takes on a limited number of projects each year so each one can have full attention end to end.
